Born in Homestead, FL., residing in Greene County, TN. and a fourth generation musician,
Joshua founded Padlock Grin in 2004 and has played guitar for over 22 years. Through many personal changes, the birth of a son and other life obstacles, he has maintained a high degree of professionalism in his songwriting, stage performance and overall desire to deliver top notch Rock and Roll straight from the heart and soul. Never one to back away from a challenge, he has now assembled one of the most sought after Rock and Roll bands in the South East. Josh is also prolific on Piano, Mandolin, Bass and Drums.
His influences include “Classic” rock groups such as The Allman Brother Band, Cream, Frank Zappa and Led Zeppelin. More contemporary influences are Metallica, Incubus, and Alice in Chains.
Having had no formal training, Joshua has honed a solid, consistent, and recognizable style. His resume includes several groups such as Déjà Vu, Nod Ran Off, and The Van Hill Project.
